Tarakanova – Lyudmila Tarakanova

A graduate of Moscow Textile Institute Tarakanova is also a lecturer at the Vitebsk University of Technology in Belarus. She has over 60 scientific publications to her name and has published eleven works for educational purposes. Since 1997 Lyudmila Tarakanova has been a member of the Belarus Designers' Association. In 2004 she was appointed to the Instructional Arts Committee of the "National Academy of Science of Belarus". She has already won many national and international prizes for her collections in such places as Moscow, Minsk, Düsseldorf and Cologne.

The designer visualises her special passion in her current 2013 Autumn/Winter collection. The designs are created in the "all-out casual" style. Her collection comprises coats, raincoats and jackets, suits and different separates like shirts and trousers. She uses basic materials like Tweed, bouclé, coarse woollen fabrics, jersey in varying densities, wool and woollen blends as well as cotton and silk. A wealth of blue and green tones feature in her collection alongside different colour shades that are combined with grey, black and chocolate brown.
